FROM WHEELCHAIR SPORTS NL:
Wheelchair Sports NL is very excited to announce our upcoming Wheelchair Basketball Development Camp from May 25-28 at the Powerplex in St. John’s, NL. This camp is open to all players of all abilities (including able-bodied players). As we move toward developing a team for the 2019 Canada Games, Wheelchair Sports NL will be holding these development camps to help develop the game locally, and at the same time identify potential athletes for the 2019 Games.
Along with our partner for this camp - Wheelchair Basketball Canada (WBC) - we are delighted that camp athletes will receive several days of excellent instruction from WBC guest coaches - Mike Frogley (National Academy Director) and Ross Norton (Head Coach, Women’s U25 National Team).
This is an excellent opportunity for those who are new to the game of wheelchair basketball, as well as those who have been playing for some time. If you are a current stand-up basketball player and want to challenge yourself to a new variation of the game you love, then you need to come out and give this game a try! We would love to see lots of participants come out for this camp, so please spread the word! See attached poster for more information.
