YOUTH CYCLING DEVELOPMENT CAMP
The first NL Youth Development Camp will run July 19th to 21st, 2019 at Glovertown. Registration is now open for youth ages 15 to 19 (By Dec. 31st, 2019) who are interested in learning more about training and racing skills/tactics for both Mountain and Road Biking.
The camp will be run by NL Canada Games Coaching Team and will serve to identify potential athletes with aspirations to make a Canada Games team for 2021 and beyond, and/or develop their own training and racing. Currently the camp will be open to 24 youth (12 Road & 12 Mountain).
Registration includes BNL Membership (mandatory) and $60; participating youth will receive a custom NL Development Team jersey. Come prepared for a highly active camp with group rides, simulated race and skill sessions, presentations and other group activities.
*Note space is limited. Athletes unable to attend this years camp should make contact with the coaching team at email@example.com and/or attend other races/events which will will be used as identification events. (CG Team will not be picked until Spring 2021.)
**Road rides will cover 40-60 km daily, mountain biking of 5km covering some technical sections.
*** Camp begins Friday at 6:30pm and runs until Sunday approximately 12:00pm. Participants are responsible for their own accommodations.
